A nice class
This semester we did one of
the most entertaining and exciting classes: Radio II. As you can think, we
created news programs and other topics, depending of the period (we started
with news but lately we did a cooking program).
As we did news, many of us had
to go to assigments and do a remote (broadcasting live from the location you
were). To do a program, you need different positions: announcer(s), editor,
producer and reporters. The producer and editor do a script with all the news
and music in order of appeareance. And check if the news are properly drafted.
BUT, editors are often announcers too which producers can’t do (they need to be
in the radio control, “outside” the broadcasting).
At first, I was very shy
talking in a mic but practicing in the studio made me more confident. I also
was an announcer during an sports show and I felt great commentating about
football and other stuff. It was very exciting and challenging! Don’t be afraid
of make a mistake, sometimes is funny
I think it must have been difficult to create a cooking program without showing the food.
