Favourite Movie
At first I thought of Star Wars, but I chose Interstella 5555 (2003) instead. Why? beacuse it introduced me to one of my favourite bands, Daft Punk.
The movie is about a band (Crescendolls) from another planet that was kidnapped by a man from Earth. He (named Darkwood) uses the bands to win world records. Whe he reaches 5,555 records, he would be able to control the Universe.
The thing I like the most is the mix between music and animation but without any dialogue. The music is the entire album Discovery (2001) by Daft Punk. Leiji Matsumoto and Shinji Shimizu were in charge of the animation part. Daft Punk contacted Shinji because it was a childhood hero for them.
The music of the film is so good that it has became my favourite movie. Maybe the plot isn't the best but it really changed my music taste.
Wow! I never believed would choose a Interstella as favorite movie, but I liked you election, also know Daft Punk by Interstella and I like very much!

More than a decade ago, I was fortunate to know to Daft Punk through the Discovery album. Then Telecanal broadcast Interstella 5555. I was fascinated for the band and the animation.
